This is the Front Engine Mount for a 1983 Chevrolet Citation 2.8L. I will be using this mount as a rear passenger's side transaxle mount
The bracket pictured above the mount is from a 1992 Cadillac
Deville with the 4T60Ehd transaxle. Noticed there is only ONE hole
where I need TWO. Time to break out the drill
That's better !
The mount and bracket are attached to the transaxle here.
Here is another view
The 4.9L sits perfectly even on the Citation cradle

This is my local
exhaust guy Robert at Stone Mountain Exhaust and Brake. He does all my custom
exhaust work, as well as built the custom cold air intake on the 3800SC
Citation swap. I took the entire engine assembly and cradle to him
to have a mount fabricated.
Here, we will be welding a piece of angle iron to the cradle to support the mount

Try capturing THIS SHOT with an ANALOG CAMERA....HA !!!!!!!!!!!
TADA....DONE ! ! !
Here is a better view: My engine is using a 4-point mounting system, used in Cadillacs, Buick, and Oldsmobiles. One driver's side front mount, one driver's side rear mount, one passenger's side front mount, and one passenger's side rear mount. This system totally eliminates the need for a torque strut.
The engine wiring harness is now complete. It has
been mated to a 56-pin bulkhead connector. The other half of this
connector goes into the car thru the firewall to the PCM, fuse panel, and
instrument cluster

This 15-pin connector will mate to the original Citation
bulkhead connector and supply various signals TO and FROM the car and powertrain.
The 15-pin connector is shown again here, reaching over
to it's driver's side destination
This is my completed interior portion of the wiring harness.
This mates the PCM to the 56-pin engine connector.
Here are the matching interior and exterior bulkhead connectors.
Here is the engine control / headlamp control relays.
These relays will be mounted on the firewall. The power supply wires
are highlighted with the red arrow.
Here are the power supply wires from the relays (highlighted again with the red arrow) They will feed directly off the alternator's V+ output.
AH....The Victim himself

Always take time to mark the position of the hood BEFORE removing it. This saves about 30 minutes worth of time trying to get the hood re-aligned correctly when reinstalling it.
It's HAMMERTIME ! ! !
