First
Attempt: About to remove engine, but realized.....I need to take the car
OFF
of the Jackstands so I can move the car back and forth
Second
Attempt: Removing the 3.1L MPFI engine
3.1L
MPFI engine coming out
3.1L
MPFI is ALMOST out.....
......reduced
to sitting in a cardboard box
UDPATE:
Traded 3.1L Engine and 125-C Transaxle to a fellow Chevrolet Citation's
Forever Club Member for 1984 Chevrolet X-11
Well...now
there's plenty of room under the hood to do some cleaning and wiring
This
is the remains of the 2.8L / 3.1L MPFI wiring harness, plus ONE additional
wiring
harness from a 1989 Celebrity Eurosport (2.8L MPFI) used for EXTRA wires
I will
be creating the Power Distribution wiring from this: This includes starting,
charging,
air conditioning, fuel delivery, and cooling fans.
Finished
Product from the mess of wires: After a few hours with a roll of solder,
soldering
iron, heat shrink tubing, and electrical tape. I will be installing
loom tubing over the wires to protect them, as well as make them look factory
Old
Instrument Cluster: This cluster had to be replaced because this speedometer
is mechanically driven (Cable operated) The new 4-T60Ehd transaxle
does not have ANY means for connecting a mechanical speedometer
