These relays (retrieved from a 1992 Buick Park Avenue Ultra) will be used to control the A/C Compressor, Fuel Pump, Cooling Fans, Fog Lamps, and Headlights

This is the kind of fun stuff I love.....The wiring harness

These are the ECM connectors for the 4.9L PCM and the bulkhead harness that passes them thru the firewall into the engine compartment

My 4.9L did NOT come included with the Idle Speed Control Motor, therefore, a trip to the Cadillac dealership was in order.  I retrieved it's bracket from a 1990 Cadillac Deville at the local salvage yard.

This 4-spd automatic shifter was retrieved from a 1986 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera ES with the THM-440 Transaxle

Those of you that have removed one of these before will realize this AUTOMATIC shifter has the same bolt pattern as the GM MANUAL shifter.

This brake pedal will be needed, since there will no longer be a clutch pedal.  This was retrieved from a 1981 Citation with Auto Transaxle

These 15-pin connectors were retrieved from a Pontiac 6000 and a Chevrolet Celebrity.  These will be used to mate the Cadillac wiring to the Citation wiring WITHOUT cutting the Citation wiring.

The transaxle "PRNDL" wiring harness was retrieved from a 1994 Cutlass Supreme (3100V6) with 4T60e transaxle.  This contains the "STARTER ENABLE" and "REVERSE LIGHT" wiring.

This switch mounts to the brake pedal and disengages the Torque Converter Clutch, as well as activates the brake lights.  It was retrieved from a 1983 Citation with Automatic Transaxle

This is one of the NEATEST little toys I've found in the salvage during this entire swap.  It is an ELECTRO-MOTOR Cruise Control module.  Instead of using VACUUM to operate the Cruise Control Servo, there is an electric motor inside this unit that is permanently affixed to it's own cable which attaches to the throttle.  This is MUCH more accurate than the older vacuum operated cruise modules.

Looking from this view, you can clearly see the module mounts to the strut tower (Driver's side)

.

Extra wires during a fuel injected engine swap is ALWAYS a good thing.  I retrieved these from a 1988 Corsica 2.8L MPFI

DOUBLE and TRIPLE checking clearances proves that the 4.9L will INDEED fit in the X-11 without extensive vehicle modifications. Even the factory X-11 exhaust system COULD be retained, but it will be upgraded.
